I garden like crazy and love to cook and bake - what I love about food is how it gathers people together and can instantly make everybody comfortable. Where there’s an awkward silence, set out a chili bar or order some pizzas, and suddenly everyone is chatting. When I make silly food themed earrings I feel the same effect. First the laughs, “oh my god, are those carrots? Tea cups? Hot dogs???” Etc then the chatter ensues. Smiles all around.
