Soe noire
Soe Noire is a Nigerian multimedium artist based in Western Mass. Noire’s work aims to capture and celebrate femme nostalgia and Afromysticism based on his lived experiences. Noire began community organizing in 2023, creating the First Black Queer magazine/arts initiative in Massachusetts, Frizz Media, created to celebrate Black Queer whimsy, joy, and creativity. With drag events [as his drag persona, Miss Alaynia] held in cyberspace through Frizz Drag Nite, and Covid-Cautious performance art shows like Fros and Faes, Noire is passionate in creating radical third spaces that celebrate Black Queerness and Joy.

lightworker
Lightworker is an AfroMystical interpretation of God. Western culture often depicts the creator of the universe as white and a man, despite the Christian passage of humans being "made in God’s image". This artwork by Soe Noire takes this passage to depict the Black Woman as godly, powerful, and the Creator of the Cosmos.
Danger
Danger is an artwork exploring the idea of the “evil eye”, and the importance of protecting one’s self from draining energies and beings. Depicted through these eerie heart monsters, this self portrait emphasizes the importance of looking in the eyes of those who want to harm you and fighting back.

Anima is a piece by Soe Noire that dances with the concept of rebirth and reincarnation.
Angel’s advocate
Angel’s Advocate explores following intuition, and Black Trans identity. Inspired by the term “Devil’s Advocate”, this artwork depicts a young Queer child listening to her angel guides, with the colors of her guides and environment reflecting the Transgender flag.
Heaven on Earth
Heaven on Earth depicts taking the bite of the Apple in the Garden of Eden as a radical act of self love. It celebrates choosing yourself and exploring Trans identity without guilt or shame.
